Homestead Day 1
Date: 4/13/2007 Event: Homestead Miami Speedway

Back on track Finally!!

It's been a while but the Kensai Team has picked up pretty much where we left off. After Daytona we had a bit of a performance adjustment, and we do not have near the horsepower we had before. But our cars are still relatively fast. We had two practice sessions today, Travis and I split them up. I ran the first one, and he ran the second. In the first session out of the box the car was pretty good with the daytona setup, but with just a couple changes during practice the setup became very good. I was able to turn the second quikest time of the session, which ended up being the second quikest time of the day I think. It was hard to get exact lap times, because today was not an "official practice day". So, Travis took the second session and was going to see how he liked how I had setup the car, and see if he wanted to change anything. He loved the setup and only did about half of the session because the car was perfect. He ended up fourth fastest in the session, only a couple of tenths off the fastest car.

So, now we head into tomorrow with one more practice session before qualifying. We are going to try a major change to the setup just to see if it will be better, knowing that we can always go back to what we have now.

we are also still undecided who will start the race, and who will finish. We will have to figure that out by qualifying tomorrow.

I am writing this very quick because we are having a bit of hotel drama, lets just say I'm glad Mayer wasn't here to experience this. At least the experience at the track has been good, and hopefully will continue to be until Sunday.
